Sweet anole
Anoles used to be lame in the pet store. But now...actually they are still lame because they are everywhere. Here is a cool picture I took of an anole living on our garbage can. AWESOME

Summertime is here
Ok, maybe we have a few weeks of Spring left. Either way, we should be having more desert life emerging and that means pictures.
I am going to throw this out for discussion; should we just post things we take pictures of ourselves, or should we be allowed to post other pictures. Your thoughts...
Happy posting!

The smartest dog I've seen...
Monday, February 2, 2009
I waited to post this picture until after you had all come over to our house. Last week we had our routine pest control guy come out and this is what he found.

A mother spider laid her eggs on one of the chain links on the swing-set. Our kids thought it was pretty cool to see but were relieved that they were all killed. I was too!!!

Parakeets!
These are Halle's birds. It has taken her 4 years to finally hold them. Caddy (the blue one) is 5 1/2 years old. And Kiwi (Green) is a year old. (And is caring something that makes Brit sick so we'll have to get rid of him/her). We don't know if Kiwi is a boy or girl, it's too young to tell. Caddy is a girl because of her light blue nose (right above her beak). Boys have dark blue noses. If you have a parakeet by itself for long enough, they can learn to talk! They also can live up to 19 years!

They are easy to take care of and not loud. We clip their wings :( so they can't fly (it doesn't hurt them). We love our birds!

Some old favs
It has been awhile since we had much to post as far as wildlife goes. I am sure it will pick up in the summer. In the mean time, here are some oldies.
Above: Noah with a whiptail on his belly. Man that looks like it tickles.
Below: The poor whiptail is forced to pose again, this time on my head.
What is with my face?
